Emily Atack, 31, Olivia Colman, 47, and Jenna Coleman, 34, are among the stars lending their support to this year’s Red Nose Day.

The trio were among those who have donned the charity clothing collection, posing in T-shirts designed by Charlie Mackesy for TK Maxx.

Felicity Jones, 37, and Jermaine Jenas, 38, also lent their support to the campaign which is promoting a message of kindness.

Posing for photographer Matt Holyoak, the celebrities all donned T-shirts with a drawing of a boy sitting on a branch.

Alongside the image is a print reading: ‘What do you want to be when you grow up? “Kind” said the boy.’

The limited-edition T-shirts are available to buy now and are part of a wider range of Red Nose Day 2021 merchandise which includes T-shirts, aprons and homeware products, all featuring Pixar characters available at tkmaxx.com.

The money raised goes towards supporting mental health issues, providing a safe place to live and fighting for gender justice to help children and young people get the best start in life.

TK Maxx has supported Red Nose Day since 2005, and together with its customers has raised over £25 million for Comic Relief.

Designer Charlie said: ‘The pandemic is causing so much pain and worry for many, but it moves and amazes me that people can still find the strength and kindness to look after each other; neighbours, strangers, family and friends.

‘It has been a heart breaking and tumultuous time that I think we’d like to forget, but I hope we can remember the small acts of kindness that have brought us much hope.

‘Many people need us right now, so I hope the Red Nose Day t-shirt helps to raise the funds to make a difference.’

Red Nose Day returns next month for an evening of television that will be broadcast live on BBC One on March 19.

The charity fundraiser will feature some of the nation’s favourite faces for a night of comedy, sketches and live performances.

It was recently revealed that Dawn French will make an appearance in a Vicar of Dibley special.

The evening will also see David Tennant and Michael Sheen join forces once again for a special edition of their hit comedy series, Staged.

This year’s event tagline , ‘Funny is power’, was revealed in the launch video last week featuring celebrities talking about times in their lives that laughter has helped them get through.

Benedict Cumberbatch said in the video: ‘I think laughter is a panacea, it is and has always been a national medicine.

‘I think people reached out for it in lockdown. It was a comedy rather than a tragedy that people first went for.’

Dame Judi Dench admitted: ‘I have got myself into trouble more times than I can tell you by laughing in very serious moments.’

Alesha Dixon, David Tennant, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness and Sir Lenny Henry will present the show which marks the 35th year in Comic Relief’s history.
