Amanda Kloots refuses to listen to vaccine shamers after receiving COVID-19 Pfizer shot

Amanda Kloots refuses to listen to vaccine shamers after she received her first Pfizer shot for COVID-19

She’s standing strong in her decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

And Amanda Kloots, the widow of late Broadway performer Nick Cordero, spoke out on CBS’s The Talk on Monday after trolls bashed her for waiting in line to receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

The dancer and fitness instructor, 38, reiterated the fact that she waited patiently in line at a Los Angeles vaccine distribution site until the end of the day to see if she was able to receive a dose that would have otherwise gone unused.

The mother-of-one, whose husband lost a prolonged battle with the coronavirus last summer, explained again how her post caused many shamers to accuse her of stealing the vaccine from others more deserving.

But she then went on to say how that ‘shame’ ended up getting ‘turned into positivity.’

‘I’m not even going to focus on that shame, because I don’t spend time in my life focusing on negativity,’ Kloots began.

‘But this post got a lot of shame, the shame got press, that press turned into conversation, that conversation turned into awareness, and then that awareness turned into positivity. That is how I roll. And that is how I live my life!’ she continued.

‘It just boggled my mind that anyone would rather see a vaccine go to waste than go into a willing arm.’

A day after her selfie getting the vaccine on Friday, Amanda again took to Instagram to voice her anger against ‘vaccine shaming.’

'This post got a lot of shame, the shame got press, that press turned into conversation, that conversation turned into awareness, and then that awareness turned into positivity. That is how I roll. And that is how I live my life!' she said

‘Waiting standby at a vaccination site is not a new thing. People have been doing this since the rollout. Sometimes you’re turned away and sometimes there are extra vaccines that would otherwise go unused if your arm wasn’t there, ready to go,’ she wrote in the post.

‘Here is what I will not stand for,’ she continued. ‘Being told I did something wrong, that I cheated the system, that I used celebrity privilege, that I took a vaccine away from an elderly person or essential worker!

How dare you say that to me or to anyone that has waited standby?! These extra vaccines are only given out after all appointments are over,’ she added.

‘I will not stand for vaccine shaming!’
