Cheryl returns to social media for the first time in MONTHS

‘This is the first time I’ve been out of the house!’ Cheryl returns to social media for the first time in MONTHS after meeting amputee Billy Monger for Comic Relief

Cheryl has returned to Instagram for the first time in more than two months.

The singer, who last posted in December 2020, joked it was the first time she’d left the house in weeks before urging fans to show their support for amputee Billy Monger while he embarks for 140-mile triathlon challenge for Comic Relief.

Cheryl filmed herself in the back of the car after meeting Billy, saying: ‘So today is the first day I’ve actually been somewhere to work and I went to meet up with Billy Monger.’

She’s back! Cheryl returned to Instagram for the first time in more than two months on Thursday after heading out to meet amputee Billy Monger

She continued: ‘If you haven’t heard of him you should look him up, he’s an incredible 21-year-old who has been through a horrific accident he lost both of his legs when he was 17, and got straight back up and did all the things he wanted to do, mind over matter.’

Cheryl went onto explain that Billy was taking part in a charity triathlon, and he’d be cycling, walking and kayaking 140 miles from Newcastle to London to raise money for Comic Relief.

She continued: ‘So if you can you can check him out I’ve put his Instagram handle on here, and yeah I know you’re gonna love him as much as I do, he’s amazing he’s doing it for Comic Relief, raising so much money.’

Later Cheryl uploaded another video filmed by Billy urging her ‘generous, supportive and kind’ followers to show their support.

She added: ‘So we thought we’d use this opportunity to say Billy is almost at the end of his challenge, he’s been incredible. We just need some support, please donate.’
