Scarlett revealed her plans to head back to the dentist to have her new teeth fitted when she unveiled her temporary veneers earlier this month

The Gogglebox star was concerned after her pearly whites displaced to form a gap, but she found humour in the bad situation and joked: ‘People started to mistake me for Madonna.’

Speaking to her Instagram followers, Scarlett discussed her new teeth: ‘So I’ve just woken up. I’ve had some dentistry done today.

‘My mouth is still very numb. But I’ve got temporary tops on now. These are my fake ones, but hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have new veneers which I am very excited about.

‘My old ones that I had in London started moving and I had a gap – people started to mistake me for Madonna. There’s only one Madonna, so I’ll stick to being Scarlett Moffatt.’

She also promoted her dental practice, Queensway Dental in Newcastle, as she confirmed she is no longer ‘anxious’ when visiting the dentist.

Scarlett had her first set of veneers fitted years earlier, after revealing she was cruelly mocked by school bullies for her smile, after being forced to have plastic caps fitted following a car accident when she was just 11 years old.

She told The Telegraph: ‘I smashed my teeth and had all the nerves taken out, so I had a black tooth as well as a monobrow, and I was a little bit chubby, and then half my face was on the slide.’

Scarlett also recently revealed to MailOnline that her first date with her boyfriend of two years, Scott Dobinson, was ‘the worst date she’d ever been on.’

‘We went out for food and he just chatted about himself, and I thought, “oh god, I’ve got another one of them where it’s just all about them”.

‘I know a lot of girls would say, “well, I’m just not going to see him again,” but I thought I wanted to confront him and find out why he only spoke about himself a lot.

‘I asked him to Starbucks the next day and I said to him, “Scott you never asked me any questions.”‘

The couple’s romance began when she made an emergency 999 call after seeing a stranger outside her home in 2019, and the ‘fit’ constable arrived at her door.
