Eva Mendes shares photos of her husband Ryan Gosling’s late dog George

Eva Mendes was missing part of her family on Thursday when she shared some sweet photos of her husband Ryan Gosling’s late dog George.

The 46-year-old semi-retired actress post cute snaps of herself giving the adorable pooch a bath while he seemingly panted approvingly.

Eva was dressed for a mess with a simple black tank top and black booty shorts while George lounged about in the family’s bath tub.

Very good boy: Eva Mendes, 46, shared some adorable photos of her husband Ryan Gosling’s late dog George to Instagram on Thursday

A second photo showed the dog looking blissful while all wrapped up in a towel.

‘Missing this little dude so much it hurts,’ the Hitch actress wrote. ‘Slide if you wanna spark some serious joy.’

George was a major part of her husband’s life and sometimes even joined him in front of the cameras.

During a 2011 appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Ryan stepped out with George in tow.

The mixed-breed dog (whom Ryan called a ‘muppet’) had most of his fur shaved off with just a mohawk-like strip running along the top of his body.

‘He insists on it,’ the First Man star said of George’s hairdo. ‘Ten years ago, I shaved a mohawk just for the summer, and then every time it started to grow out, he turned into a total jerk… And then I’d shave it back, and it he turned into a nice guy again.’

George left for that big doghouse in the sky in December 2016, but Ryan kept his memory alive when he hosted Saturday Night Live in later September of 2017.

During the final curtain call with the whole cast, he stepped out front wearing a denim jacket and a custom-printed black t-shirt bearing an adorable photo of George and his age span.

While promoting his Neil Armstrong biopic First Man on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that year, he shared some of George’s funniest characteristics.

‘There was something about George where… I think he felt like being a dog was beneath him,’ he explained.

‘He would not do tricks. If you wanted him to sit down, you had to sort of convince him it was in his best interest. Like, “Look, we’re gonna be in this car for about three hours, so if you want to sit down you might be more comfortable this way.” Then he might consider it.’

Aside from his late dog, Ryan shares daughters Esmeralda, six, and Amada, four, with his wive Eva.

The We Own The Night actress took to Instagram earlier this month to clear up a controversy about her thoughts on cosmetic surgery.

She was responding to a misleading article whose headline suggested she was opposed to having plastic surgery.

‘Regarding this “headline” … ummm… Kinda. Sorta. But not really,’ she clarified.

Speaking out: The We Own The Night star shared a screen capture of a headline on Monday which read, 'Eva Mendes denies plastic surgery accusation left on her Instagram post'

‘Never “denied plastic surgery”. All I did was reply to a specific comment on SM,’ she continued. ‘Would never deny that stuff. I’m all for it. All. For. It.’

She also disputed that she ‘clapped back’ at an Instagram user, as she wasn’t looking to put anyone in their place.

‘Also I don’t like the term “clap back,”‘ she wrote. ‘Sounds aggressive to me. As a lot of you know, I reply to as many comments as I can. I don’t clap back; I try to connect/communicate.’
