Lucy Spraggan resorts to tracking down trolls to combat social media hate

Lucy Spraggan has found an effective way to deal with online trolls, by tracking down their place of work to report their behaviour to their bosses.

The X-Factor star, 29, admitted she’s had plenty of ‘bad experiences’ with social media including being threatened with physical violence and being ridiculed for her ‘saggy boobs’ following her three stone weight loss

She elaborated on her new way of dealing with online bullies to The Sun: ‘What I do now is screenshot their comments and put them on my Instagram Story and laugh at them.

‘The other day somebody threatened me with physical violence, so I looked them up on Facebook and found their place of work and called up and spoke to their boss and told them what had happened.

‘That’s how I’m going to be dealing with stuff nowadays,’

Despite going out of her way to expose online haters, Lucy said she’s realised that the less she cares about other people’s opinions, the happier she is as a person.

The singer revealed that the derogatory comments she has received served as great inspiration for her song, Animal, which features on her new album, Choices.

Grinning from ear to ear, the TV star’s bright pink locks were swept back into a ponytail as she flexed for the camera, proudly showing off her ink.

Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘Tattooed women suck. You know all last year when I kept getting comments like “you look like a man” and “your tattoos make you look so much less feminine” blah blah blah.

‘And I was like “whaaaaaaaat’ as I’d never had that kind of comment before?’

Lucy went on to tell her followers there is an entire Instagram dedicated to the demeaning comments women with athletic builds receive on a daily basis.

Called You Look Like a Man, the page even has its own selection of merchandise, which Lucy is clearly a big fan of.

Signing off her post, the former X Factor competitor asked: ‘Has anyone ever said anything sh***y to you that you’d put on a t shirt?!’

Lucy, who shot to fame on The X Factor back in 2012, recently discussed her decision to go under the knife for a boob job in a candid interview with MailOnline.

She said: ‘I can’t wait to get back in the bedroom.’

Lucy explained that she couldn’t wait to be intimate with her girlfriend, because her new 34D boobs have made her feel so confident.

She elaborated: ‘I am looking forward to getting back into the bedroom, I can’t wait til the pain has gone but I can’t believe how well I feel already

‘My girlfriend [whose name she hasn’t revealed], didn’t realise how badly I felt about my pre-surgery boobs. I always wanted to keep a bra on in the bedroom.

‘If I wasn’t laying down, my boobs were like udders. She has fake boobs, so she reassured me about having surgery and now I’ve got bigger t**s than her.’
