Stacey Solomon confesses she FORGOT to pick up her two sons from school

Stacey Solomon has hilariously confessed she forgot to collect her two eldest sons from school on Tuesday.

The Loose Women presenter, 31, was contacted by a teacher after picking up Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, completely slipped her mind following months of homeschooling.

Taking to Instagram to share a funny clip of herself sitting in her car as she waited outside her sons’ school in Essex, Stacey quipped: ‘God, someone out there please tell me you also forgot your kids today.’

The mother-of-three – who has a third son Rex, 22 months – still had her seat belt strapped across her chest as she addressed the camera.

Stacey explained: ‘I was just having it up in the garden with Rex thinking, “I wonder when them boys will finish their homeschooling and come out here?”

‘And then the school rang, and I was like, “Oh sugar!” Well at least I didn’t forget to bring them in. One out of two’s not bad.’

Stacey is mother to son Zachary with her teen boyfriend Dean Cox and son Leighton with her ex Aaron Barham.

With the country currently in lockdown, the TV personality hasn’t been able to try on wedding dress, but she’s says she’s preparing by ‘looking at designs over Zoom’ adding she’ll be ready for when shops are eventually open.

Despite only getting engaged on Christmas Eve, the star has already got the date and a photographer booked and if everything goes well according to the roadmap out of lockdown, she’s hopeful they can enjoy a day ‘without masks’.

Stacey also noted that she won’t be taking Joe’s surname, stating that she wants to have the same surname as her sons.

She added though they could change their names to Swash, she wouldn’t want to put them in a position of ‘choosing between Joe and their dads’.

Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, Stacey gave an insight into her life as a young mother and revealed that she still looks back and feels ‘really guilty’ about that time in her life.

Stacey, who became pregnant with her first child at the age of 17, said: ‘I even now look back and feel really guilty about the way I was as a parent when he was a baby, because I just wasn’t good.

‘And I know that obviously you shouldn’t say that to yourself but that is just the way I feel about the situation.

‘I didn’t want to be his mum, I didn’t know how to be his mum and I found it all very, very difficult.’

Joe previously said that he and Stacey will carry on having babies until they add a girl to their family, joking they’ll end up like TV family The Waltons with multiple children.

‘I’d love to have a little girl,’ the TV personality said on the Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast. ‘If we had another child and we had a girl that would be it.

‘If we had another boy there’d always be that cloud over our heads until we go again… until we got the girl.

‘We’ll end up like The Waltons!’
