Keeping it real: Kate Lawler gave fans a candid insight into motherhood on Thursday as she filmed herself during a sleepless late night with baby Noa

During one hilarious update, Kate revealed that she was so tired that she accidentally called her daughter Noa by the name Shirley instead.

Starting off her sleepless night videos, the former Big Brother star’s fiancé Martin brought her hot cross buns as 12:45am as she joked: ‘Parenting is a right laugh!’

Kate then revealed she was giving her next update ‘on the loo’, as she admitted being a new mum was like the film Groundhog Day, where Bill Murray’s character relives the same day over and over.

The presenter said: ‘It’s a bit like Groundhog Day, isn’t it, when you’re a new mum. I plan to go to bed at 9:30pm most nights and I’m still up at 1am… will it get any better? I b****y well hope so, I really do, because this isn’t fun at all!’

The TV personality then shared a video of herself eating snacks while Noa cried in the background although she reassured fans: ‘Don’t worry, the handsome is with Noa. I’m not letting her cry so I can snack.’

Later in the night, Kate shared a fun and animated snap of herself smiling which she captioned: ‘Praise be she’s asleep!’

Although the joy was short lived as at 3:38am, Kate admitted she was ‘back at it’ while at 4:12am the star revealed she was looking into buying a mini fridge for Noa’s nursery as she noted ‘winding takes forever’.

It comes after Kate shared snaps from her second stint in hospital with her daughter Noa last month after she rushed the newborn to doctors when she developed a ‘nasty-looking’ finger infection.

Prior to this, Noa had been rushed to hospital after showing signs of breathing difficulty, but was released after doctors ran a series of tests and gave them the okay.
