This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield cry with laughter over horse milking segment

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby revealed she almost ‘wet herself’ as she and co-star Phillip Schofield struggled to contain their laughter over a horse milking segment.

On Tuesday’s show, Holly, 40, and Phil, 58, revealed an un-aired clip following Monday’s programme in which they were attempting to record a 10-second promo of what was coming up in the following show.

However, the duo took a whole eight minutes to record the preview as Phil struggled to read the autocue without bursting into giggles, as he tried to get his head around the bizarre segment in which roving reporter Josie Gibson milked a horse.

Uh oh: This Morning’s Holly Willoughby revealed she almost ‘wet herself’ as she and co-star Phillip Schofield struggled to contain their laughter over a horse milking segment

Things got so bad that at one point, Holly squealed: ‘Stop I’m going to wet myself, I’m going to wet myself!’ as she wiped away the tears.

The footage, filmed after Monday’s show had wrapped, saw Holly perfectly reading her line, saying: ‘Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure joins us to give us a clue about who the fourth member of ‘H’ might be.’

But when it came to Phil’s turn, he wasn’t as successful as he started to say: ‘Josie Gibson will be learning to milk a horse…’ before trailing off into a fit of giggles.

Shocked by the unexpected segment, he explained: ‘What the hell is… what’s that?!’ as Holly and the crew began to laugh around him.

As the pair continued laughing, he asked: ‘Is that real, did you just do that to blow me up?’

They then aired several outtakes with the pair in continued hysterics as they failed on a number of occasions to complete the promo without losing it.

In one moment, Holly wiped away her tears of laughter as she moaned: ‘Stop I’m going to wet myself, I’m going to wet myself!’ after Phil said: ‘It’s going to be quite hard for me to say it!’

Holly then added: ‘It’s coming out of my eyes… my ears are ringing.’

With Phil quick quipping: ‘Do you want to answer it?’

Eventually, Phil was banished to the sofa while Holly remained at the kitchen counter, with the two forced to record their lines separately.

Later on in the programme, the segment in question saw Josie, 36, head off to a horse farm in Somerset which cultivates mare’s milk.

While there, Josie really embraced the experience, not only milking a horse, but tasting the product as well.

As a horrified Phil and Holly watched on, Josie remarked that the milk tasted like ‘sweet coconut’.

‘What is going on with #thismorning milking a horse?! Is this a comedy sketch?” questioned a fourth.

With a fifth adding: ‘Pre-Covid that horse would have been in the studio and Holly and Phil would have been doing the milking. Can you imagine?! Robbed of tv gold today.
