Jennifer Garner reveals dance rehearsals almost caused Mark Ruffalo to quit 13 Going on 30

It’s been nearly 20 years since the romantic comedy classic 13 Going on 30 was released, and new details are still coming out.

Jennifer Garner, who played Jenna Rink in the 2004 comedy, was promoting her new Netflix movie Yes Day with The Skimm, when she was asked about her favorite memory from the movie.

She revealed that, while rehearsing the movie’s iconic dance number, her co-star Mark Ruffalo was so frustrated that he nearly quit the movie.

‘We started to learn the dance. Our first rehearsal, I think it was Mark and Judy (Greer) and me,’ Garner began.

‘Judy and I were both dancers growing up, and poor Mark didn’t know that and he came in and he hated the rehearsal process so much he almost dropped out of the movie,’ Garner said with a laugh.

Still, Ruffalo stuck it out, and 13 Going on 30 would go on to become a beloved classic.
