The mum-of-two first of all grabs all of her treat ingredients from the fridge, which include carrots, celery, cheese, blueberries and strawberries.

She then chops them all up and divides them into portions, before bagging them up ready for her kids to grab on any given school day.

‘I wrap the snacks in Glad to Be Green Plant-Based Reseal bags to keep the food fresh, with a sustainable choice,’ Chantel said.

After she has prepped all of the snacks, she puts them in two tubs for the fridge, one of which is labelled ‘healthy’ and one of which is labelled ‘treat’.

‘Each morning, the kids can choose two “healthy” snacks and one “treat”,’ Chantel said.

Thousands of parents who saw the trick shared online were impressed, with one saying: ‘This is a fantastic idea’.

‘Great idea, I’m definitely trying this,’ one person commented.

Another asked how long the fruit and veg stays fresh for when prepped this day.

Chantel replied that when she does it on a Sunday, it manages to stay fresh the entire week.
