Alexandra Cane slams troll who accused her of using Instagram as an ’emotional dumping ground’

Alexandra Cane has hit back at a troll who accused her of using her Instagram page as an ’emotional dumping ground’. 

Taking to her stories on Saturday, the former Love Island star, 29, called out the negativity online, while insisting that it’s not only important to be aware of one’s emotions, but to feel free to express how you feel.

Slamming the backlash she’s received, she said: ‘I am sick and tired of the negativity online’, as she urged anyone who doesn’t approve of her page to unfollow her.

Sharing the criticism she received, she wrote: ‘Someone messaged me the other day saying I use my page as an emotional dumping ground but I think it’s incredible important that we are aware of our emotions and actually learn to FEEL them.’

Then after sharing some thought-provoking quotes about emotions and self-awareness, she went on to slam the naysayers who spread negativity online.

She said: ‘This is MY space. I am not a professional, I am a girl living my life through my eyes sharing my own experiences.

‘I am sick and tired of the negativity online and whilst regulations aren’t in place to make this platform a safer space I will be taking measures to protect my own & OTHERS peace.’

She went on: ‘I have a community of women here that I want to feel safe whilst coming to my page. I also don’t want to feel attacked when being so open and vulnerable.’

Continuing her passionate speech, Alexandra said on another page: ‘If you don’t have the capacity to show compassion or kindness to myself or one another on my page, your negativity/criticism will get removed and you will be blocked.

‘If you feel you cannot comply by these boundaries, please unfollow me right away. My page is NOT for you. 

‘For those who do appreciate what I post, thank you and I hope I can make is a safer space for you all’.

‘We are adults not children. Let’s start acting like them. Have a beautiful day’. 

Alexandra has always been honest and open with her fans about all aspects of her life, whether it be her health issues, her fitness journey or her struggles with anxiety.

Amid her take down of trolls, she also shared an inspiring message on how important it is to be able to open up on how she’s feeling on her social media.  

She wrote: ‘Emotions & stress can manifest into physical form in the body. 

‘I’m unravelling so much about my past and it’s truly fascinating. I’m seeing my life from a whole new perspective – it’s actually wild. This healing work is not easy but it is so transformational. 

She went on to say that ‘self-awareness is key’ and encouraged her fans not to feel guilty about expressing their emotions.
