Celeb Spellcheck WIPES their Instagram account and addresses rumours that they’re being sued or their identity could be exposed

The hugely popular Celeb Spellcheck Instagram account is going on hiatus after wiping their account clean.

In a message to their 144,000 followers, the mystery person behind the account shut down rumours that they’re facing lawsuits or that their identity is on the brink of being exposed.

Instead, the unknown figure said that they were taking a break to figure out the future of the account.

After ensuring fans that they were ‘completely fine’, the account explained their sudden decision to wipe their page. 

‘I’m not being sued (that I know of, lol) and I’m not at risk of having my identity revealed,’ they wrote.

‘I will be taking a break while I think about the future of this account,’ they continued.

‘Moderating the comments has become quite time consuming (but very necessary), as is dealing with all the other things that come with having a large audience.’

The person behind the account admitted that they were considering whether or not to reveal their identity and if they should monetize the page or not.

They also said they were pondering whether to ‘dabble in gossip’ moving forward.

‘I’ll be back soon,’ they finished the post, before signing off with a heart emoji.

Celeb Spellcheck has built up a huge following over the past year by correcting the bad spelling of influencers and reality stars.

They’ve also posted salacious gossip at times, recently sharing a video of former Bachelor star Laurina Fleure snorting powder off a counter top during a party.

Due to the nature of their content, Celeb Spellcheck has been publicly criticised by a number of influencers, including Tayla Damir and Skye Wheatley.
