Stacey Solomon reveals she has started shopping for her wedding dress

Stacey Solomon has revealed she has started shopping for her wedding dress as she prepares to marry her fiancé Joe Swash later this year.

The Loose Women star, 31, is planning a summer wedding but fears she may have to ditch the hen party and the honeymoon amid COVID-19 restrictions.

She gave away no hints about what her wedding dress would look like but said that she has ‘sent some ideas’ to the dress shop.

However, due to lockdown, she hasn’t been able to attend a dress fitting and is limited to ‘online consultations’ until restrictions lift.

In an interview with The Mirror‘s Notebook magazine, she explained: ‘I’ve sent some ideas [for the dress] but the lady recommended trying different stuff on. She said, “The things you think will suit you will end up being the things you hate.”

‘She took my measurements and said when she sees me she’ll pull a lot of stuff out then I’ll decide on the shape and the style.’

Stacey revealed she is worried that in the worst case scenario she might have to wait until her wedding day to try on the dress.

The singer said: ‘That would be so nice… to be able to try on a wedding dress. Imagine, I might not be able to try it on until the day!’

The former X Factor star has been busy organising other parts of the big day and revealed that they have already booked the photographer and the venue.

The mother-of-three is unsure if she’ll be able to plan a hen do or a honeymoon but said that she would be happy to postpone those to next year as long as her ‘special’ family members are able to be there on the wedding day.

Stacey, who announced her engagement in December after Joe, 39, proposed on Christmas Eve, is hoping the tie the knot in July this year.

As for bridesmaids, Stacey reportedly wants her pregnant best friend Sophie Hinchliffe – aka Mrs Hinch – to be beside her on the big day.

The pair, who share a love of cleaning, became firm friends after they connected following the birth of Sophie’s first son, Ronnie, 21 months.

Sophie, 30, is now expecting her second child but that hasn’t deterred Stacey from involving her in her wedding plans.

Stacey previously revealed that her pet dogs, Theo and Peanut, will be a part of her wedding ceremony and she’s even having suits made for them.

Stacey is mother to Zachary, 12, and eight-year-old Leighton – who she has from previous relationships – as well as her and Joe’s 21-month-old son Rex.

She is keen for her boys, as well as Joe’s son Harry, 13, to play important roles when the couple tie the knot.

This comes after the I’m A Celebrity winner recently revealed that she and her fiancé Joe have found their ‘forever home’, after spending ‘a long time’ house hunting.

Stacey also gave a glimpse of the stunning period property which coincidentally is named ‘Pickle Cottage’ – with Pickle being the same name she affectionately calls her three sons.

The mum-of-three took to Instagram on Friday where she told how she and her presenter beau have been given the ‘go ahead’ to purchase their dream countryside home, which she said is closer to her family.

Discussing the house news on her Instagram stories, Stacey said: ‘Soooo….For a very long time Joe and me have been searching for our forever home, further from the city and closer to our family…

‘A few months ago we saw a house that we couldn’t even believe was on the market and in the same budget as our house now. There were SO many signs. I really believe in signs and they were everywhere and it just didn’t seem real.

‘We thought it was too good to be true and have not wanted to say anything just in case it didn’t happen…

‘Today we got confirmation that everything could go ahead and it was actually going to happen…I think we just thought for so long that something would go wrong so today just didn’t feel real.’

Stacey added: ‘But it is real, the house needs lots of love and TLC which we can not wait to shower it with…

But Pickle Cottage is going to be ours. And we honestly can not to start this new start together.’ (sic)
