Line Of Duty makes it’s highly anticipated return to BBC One on Sunday evening as it kicks off with series six.
And leading lady Vicky McClure appeared to be in high spirits on Sunday as she stepped out in London with her fiancé Jonny Owen, just hours before the new season’s debut.
The actress, 37, kept it casual in rolled-up denim jeans and a black shearling jacket as she strolled through the city centre with her love, 49.

Opting for practical footwear, Vicky sported Adidas trainers which featured neon green detailing and the brand’s iconic three stripes.
She made sure to protect herself from the novel coronavirus with a pink and grey tartan face mask which contrasted against her plain black jumper.
Vicky decorated her neck with gold jewellery and black shades nestled on her sweatshirt’s neckline.
She draped a suede satchel across her torso and swept her highlighted tresses over to the side in a sleek hairstyle.

The actress rocked minimal make-up for the outing while her partner, Jonny, wrapped up warm in a double-breasted jacket in a navy hue.

Their outings come after Vicky jokingly revealed her co-star Martin Compston struggled to fit into his suits when they returned to film in Belfast, several months after the COVID-19 pandemic, and subsequent lockdowns, forced a break in filming.
In a Q&A ahead of Sunday’s launch, Vicky said Martin, 36, gorged on In- N-Out burgers, while he stayed at his home in Vegas for lockdown and when he returned, found DS Steve Arnott’s signature tailored blue suit ‘a bit tight’.

Vicky said: ‘His costumes didn’t fit him. I think he was being slightly dramatic to be fair. I mean, obviously, he went back to Vegas for a bit. I asked him about In-N-Out burgers the other day and he told me not to talk about it.
‘But he had a few of those and chilled out as we all did. He had to self isolate for two weeks as he was coming over from Vegas.’
Vicky explained how in the run-up to his return to filming, producers bought him a bike for his flat to keep him entertained.
She added: ‘Apparently he just ate soup for two weeks. But, yeah, he said that he had tried on his suits and they were a bit tighter than usual.’

When asked if the crew teased him about it, producer Simon Heath jokingly said: ‘Of course not! We’d never do that, ever.’
Their co-star Adrian Dunbar, who plays SuperIntendent Ted Hastings in the series, spoke about Vicky’s pranking antics on set, which led to him becoming a Tik Tok sensation.
Back in October, the actress, who plays DI Kate Fleming in the BBC cop drama, fooled Adrian, 62, into dancing to My Bestie and Your Bestie by Yungen while recording him on camera.
He said: ‘I’ve got mixed feelings about this kind of stuff she gets up to. She just ambushed us really.

Funny: In a Q&A ahead of Sunday’s launch, Vicky said Martin, 36, (pictured right) gorged on In- N-Out burgers, while he stayed at his home in Vegas for lockdown
‘She asks, you know, again like: “I’m doing this thing for charity” so you do it because you trust her, on that occasion she said: “Just dance along”, and I thought “what is this about?”. Tik Tok. Within three or four days a million people had watched it.
He added: ‘You have to be careful with Vicky because she will ambush you.’
And Vicky revealed fans of the show will get to see plenty more videos of herself pranking Martin.
The actress has played a number of jokes on her co-star over the years, including drawing a picture of a penis in his police notebook, which the actor didn’t see until filming began.
She said: ‘I’ve handed a few of those over to the BBC for your delights. I love a blooper real and I love that we were sharing some of that stuff over lockdown.
‘I think it’s great that we’re open with the audience and go behind the curtains so to speak. We have a laugh.’
Series six will follow the dynamic AC-12 trio investigating the force’s highest profile murder to date.
Guest lead Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson (Kelly Macdonald) is assigned as the senior investigating officer on the unsolved murder case, but her suspicious conduct attracts the attention of the anti-corruption team.
Will Steve get to the bottom of H? With excitement building over who is the elusive villain H, it appears writer Jed Mercurio will tie the storyline of organised crime in with this series
Shalom Brune-Franklin, 26 — who has appeared in BBC’s Our Girl alongside Michelle Keegan — is the new addition to the AC-12 team as Detective Constable Chloe Bishop.
Some viewers branded the finale of the fifth series, which aired in May 2019 and drew more than nine million viewers, as an ‘anti-climax’, after it was revealed that mysterious criminal mastermind H was in fact code for four people.
So fans will be hoping the show finally reveals the fourth person’s identity — and the teaser suggests it might not be a man they are looking for.
This series of the Jed Mercurio drama features seven episodes, the longest to date.
Line of Duty will return on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
