Addressing why she decided to rent the house, she explained it was over RHOC filming complications.

‘I was in my old home and we found out we weren’t allowed to film there anymore ’cause we have to get permits and permission and all this stuff to film in our homes and I couldn’t,’ she said on her Instagram Stories.

‘We didn’t have long, we had a few weeks, and this house was available and we’re like, “Okay, we’ll take it,”‘ she said. ‘You can’t be on the show if you don’t have a house. It’s called the Housewives.’

‘It’s a great place. I love it. It works for us now,’ she added. ‘We’ll see what happens.’

Braunwyn made headlines last year after coming out as lesbian, making her the first openly gay Housewife in the franchise.

Braunwyn began dating a woman, but she and her husband Sean decided to remain together regardless.

‘I like women. I’m gay,’ she said in an interview with GLAAD.

‘I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community. It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now,’ she continued. ‘I’m so happy where I am. To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice.’

Sean and Braunwyn met when she was an 18-year-old college student and married in 2000. The couple share seven children: Hazel Kai, three; Koa Blue, six; twins Caden and Curren, seven; Jacob, 15; Rowan, 18; and Bella, 20.

DailyMail.com previously revealed that Sean had been seen on an intimate lunch date with his new girlfriend, while a source said the two were ‘really handsy’ with each other.

During an Instagram Q&A with her fans in early January, Braunwyn admitted she would be ‘heartbroken’ if her husband fell in love with another woman, though the two seem to be making the best of their open marriage.
