Hitting back: Jake Quickenden has slammed cruel trolls who claimed his one-month-old son Leo ‘needed Botox and was weird looking’

The I’m A Celeb star, who shares Leo with girlfriend Sophie Church, 28, announced the birth of his first child in February and has spoken about trolls since several times.

Hitting back at the trolls on Friday, the proud dad penned: ‘REAL POST… So in the past week this little man has been told he needs Botox, that he’s ugly as f**k and that he’s weird looking,

‘Me myself have also been told stay off social media if you don’t want to be trolled, it’s so baffling to me that I should have to stay off social media if I don’t want my 4 week old trolled.

‘I don’t mind people giving me s**t, as sad as it is I’ve had to get used to being called ‘irrelevant’, ugly’, ‘attention seeking’ and the list goes on but to troll a innocent child is so wrong and the people doing it seriously need to seek help.’

Jake continued: ‘Also why should I stay off social media if I don’t want him trolled the thought process of some people is shocking, maybe people just shouldn’t troll.

‘I enjoy social media it’s full of lovely people who are supportive and I like sharing my ups and downs, I try and be real as possible, but unfortunately there is a dark side of social media and something needs doing about it.

‘Anyway rant over!! The lion is 4 weeks today! Cute af. Love you son @leooliverq’

Several of Jake’s pals were quick to send their support to the reality star and also hit back at the cruel trolls.

Jordan Banjo wrote: ‘My bro, that’s one thing none of us can understand, we can be as polite as we want but sometimes people get comfortable because there’s a screen there, one day they’ll do it to the wrong person, what goes around comes around.’

While former Made In Chelsea’s Oliver Proudlock penned: ‘Your boy is glorious my g!!! f**k anyone who says otherwise.’

And Love Island’s Gabby Allen wrote: ‘People are cruel and f**n disgusting. Beauty comes from inside anyway so the only ones who are ugly is those who troll.. sending love xx’

Dan Osborne also left a supportive message for Jake, telling him: ‘We will never understand that type of species, they’re not human, just absolute s**m.’

Jake recently revealed he’s been forced to ‘question humanity’ after his ‘defenceless’ newly born son was viciously trolled online.

He told MailOnline he’s lost hope in society following nasty comments – including death threats – baby Leo received when he was just a few hours old.

In an exclusive interview, Jake, who currently stars in MTV show Celebrity Bumps: Famous & Pregnant, admitted he was used to being targeted after a decade of working in TV – but his son being victimised hit him harder.

He said: ‘I understand people might say I’m annoying and I’ve got big teeth or whatever – and I couldn’t really give a s*** but when its targeted towards my baby or my Mrs., who isn’t really in the public eye, or a newborn baby that can’t defend himself, it makes you question humanity.

‘If you don’t like someone, you don’t have to tell them, it’s fine, just move on and don’t comment.

‘It has been tough with the comments but its water off a duck’s back now. I’ve had enough trolls the past 10 years that you get used to it but when it’s about your baby it is a different matter.

‘I feel sorry for them to be honest, if you’ve got enough time to make a profile or comment hate towards someone you don’t know it is a reflection on yourself.’

Trolls fired negative comments at Jake after he shared an image of him shirtless while holding son Leo in his arms.

Jake later explained the photo wasn’t for vanity, but his midwife had advised him to make ‘skin-on-skin’ contact with Leo, which can relax the baby and help to regulate their heartbeat.

Now, four weeks after Leo’s birth, Jake admits fatherhood is harder than he could have ever imagined.

He said: ‘I’m tired – living off of Red Bull but enjoying every second. It is amazing but much harder than I thought. It is draining and I’m tired all the time and I’m constantly cleaning up sick. There’s no time to do any housework.

‘It’s the lack of time, you’re needed 24/7. I have found myself settling him, putting him down and thinking ‘I can brush my teeth’ but as soon as I start walking out the room I hear him crying, so I hold him again.

‘My mum used to say to me “you’ll realise when you have your own” and I used to think ‘whatever mum’ but now I do, I realise how hard it is.’

As well as being a dad to Leo, Jake has also grown close to girlfriend Sophie’s seven-year-old son, Freddie, who she has from a previous relationship.
