Amir Khan and family are flying to Dubai AGAIN despite ongoing ban on international travel

Despite backlash in December amid his trips to the UEA amid the coronavirus pandemic, Amir Khan was back on a plane on Thursday, bound for Dubai International Airport.

Sat with his three young children – Lamaisah, six, Alayna, two, and 13-month-old Muhammad – the boxer, 34, posed in the otherwise empty first-class cabin in an Instagram photo.

Captioning the snap, he penned: ‘Switching off with the kids!’

Off again are you? Despite backlash in December amid his trips to the UEA amid the coronavirus pandemic, Amir Khan was back on a plane on Thursday, bound for Dubai International Airport with his three young children

He then tagged DXB as the destination.

MailOnline has approached the family’s reps for comment.

Missing from the image was his wife Faryal Makhdoom, 29, who is either not traveling with them or potentially taking the photo.

The family have seemingly found the ongoing health crisis something they’d rather not worry about over recent months, having been to Dubai at the end of 2020 and venting their chagrin when the latest travel restrictions were imposed.

They were also accused of having a flagrant disregard to social distancing rules when Amir’s family threw a birth soiree for him at his Manchester mansion in December.

When the UK government imposed the latest slew of rules, Faryal labelled it a ‘dictatorship’.

In December it was revealed the UAE had been removed from the UK’s travel corridor list, and travellers returning to the UK from there had to quarantine following a 52 per cent surge in the number of COVID -19 cases there.

Slamming the decision on Snapchat, Faryal – who flew to the city in December despite suffering from COVID-19 symptoms – hit out: ‘The British government has failed the UK.

‘New rules around every corner with practically no warning. Feel like I’m living in a dictatorship.’

Celebrities began rushing back to the UK from Dubai before Britain forced international arrivals to have a negative Covid result up to 72 hours before returning to the country.

Faryal and Amir went on holiday to Dubai in November 2020, despite the model revealing she had lost her sense of taste – one of the main Covid-19 symptoms.

Anyone displaying symptoms were told not to fly.

Amir posted on his Snapchat, ‘Lovely day in Dubai’ with a video as they enjoyed a meal.

Faryal also shared Snapchat videos of their hotel pool near the five-star Burj Al Arab hotel.

It was revealed Amir breached Covid-19 regulations again before Christmas after meeting a senior Pakistani politician who tested positive for the virus just 48 hours later.

Khan shook hands and posed for pictures with Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister of Punjab province, during a high-profile boxing event on 19 December that he helped organise in the country.

But instead of adhering to rules for those who come into contact with anyone testing positive, Khan jetted off to Dubai where he warmly embraced Cristiano Ronaldo at an awards ceremony days later.

Under the rules, Khan should have been maintaining a two-metre distance and wearing a face mask wherever possible. Those exhibiting symptoms are required to get a test.

Just a week after the Chief Minister tested positive, Khan headed off to Dubai for the Globe Soccer Awards, posting a picture on his Instagram account in which he and Ronaldo were warmly clutching hands with the footballer placing his arm around him.

Amir’s flouting birthday party saw at least 18 people in his luxurious mansion.

The former world champion from Bolton, Greater Manchester, posted a video of the large gathering on his social media, telling the camera: ‘All the boys are here.’

Khan said the party was a ‘surprise’ with his family and friends also appearing to have hired a private chef and installed a huge sign in lights displaying his nickname ‘King’.

In the video posted online, Khan told the camera: ‘All the boys are here… So, basically it was a surprise for me – and they did this for me as well, ‘King’.

‘So it was a birthday surprise in the house where I had dinner with everyone, my close friends. And we’ve brought Lamaisah along as well – Lamaisah!’

In April 2020, Khan ignored social distancing rules after an emotional reunion with his parents, siblings and other relatives for Eid.

That some month, he was criticised for hosting a takeaway dinner for five friends at his home while the country was in lockdown.

Ironically, the boxer had earlier posted a video urging people to remain in their homes and follow the government’s coronavirus advice on social distancing.

In a grovelling apology, Amir told MailOnline: ‘I was wrong and I’m truly sorry to the British public. I should not have had this party for my friends and as soon as I posted the video, I realised that it was sending out the wrong message.

‘It was really silly of me and a very stupid thing to do. I put myself in danger and also my friends. I wish I’d listened to my own advice.

‘I can understand why some people are calling me a hypocrite, but I want to promise them, I will not do something like this again.’

Khan was contacted for comment about his trip to Pakistan and Dubai at the time.

All this follows the debut of the family’s new BBC Three documentary Meet The Khans – which premiered on Monday.

Faryal was seen in the first episode saying her husband’s snoring him sound like a gorilla, quipping: ‘I was trying to suffocate you so you stopped!’

This faced backlash, with Mark Brooks, chairman of The ManKind Initiative – which helps male victims of domestic abuse – commenting: ‘I doubt the BBC would’ve included it if the genders were reversed.’

In the episode, the model moaned about how the former light-welterweight world champion kept her awake at night.

‘It’s really bad. You know when I’m tired’, the Bolton native replied. ‘You kept putting your hand over my face.’

Being playful about the extent she took to minimise the noise, Faryal added: ‘I know, I was trying to suffocate you so you stopped.’

Charity worker Mark has since blasted her comments and the BBC’s decision to include the clip in the series, telling MailOnline: ‘It is clear the comment was said in jest, part of the couple’s ‘banter’ and not meant in a literal sense.

‘However, what is interesting is the editorial judgement of the BBC for including it in the programme.

‘So I very much doubt they would have done if the genders were reversed. That speaks a lot to how certain scenarios are somehow viewed as acceptable when they affect men but rightly not the other way round.

‘This difference creates additional barriers for men being helped and recognised when they need support.’

One shocked viewer said: ‘It’s actually shocking. I could not believe what I was hearing. If it was the other way around they would be outrage.’

A BBC spokesperson said: ‘This was clearly a playful exchange and was not intended to be taken seriously or to trivialise real issues of domestic abuse or cause offence to anyone.’
