Adam shares Nylah, her sisters Amahlia, 11,  Tahmea, 14, and brother Noah, 15, with wife Rachel.

When she was diagnosed at age three, Nylah struggled to even chew an apple as she had arthritis running through in every joint in her body, including her jaw.

In the past, he has shared heartbreaking clips of her struggling to walk due to her arthritis.

But the past year has seen a shift for the better after she was administered a drug called Humira which has eased Nylah’s symptoms.

Despite it’s incredible results, the fortnightly injection is a horrible process to go through physically.

‘When she is injected you can see she feels this surge that rushes through her body… It looks like an electric current going through her,’ he said.

Recently, a new version of the treatment has become available in Australia and it’s been included in the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.

‘This version of the drug will not give her that feeling. Anything that makes it a bit more bearable is good,’ added Adam.

Humira – which sets the government back approximately $920 per child a month – is also used to help patients with other auto-immune disease like Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and pan-uveitis.

Adam is so passionate about creating awareness for Juvenile Arthritis, he’s become an ambassador for Juvenile Arthritis Foundation Australia (JAFA) and recently raised $25,000 for the organisation.

On October 12, he shared a video on his Instagram alongside Nylah in celebration of World Arthritis Day.

In it, he gave fans an update on his daughter’s health.

‘She’s going ok, you’re feeling a bit better these days,’ he told his smiling little girl.

‘Most days she’s going to preschool and she’s a happy little girl.’

‘Today is a special day as we try to create awareness to for Juvenile Arthritism,’ he said.

‘Nylah has the juvenile version, JIA. Good days, bad days. Plenty of both,’ Adam also added in the caption.
