Jimmy Carr fears he’ll get CANCELLED when he returns to comedy as he continues to show off new look

Last month he unveiled the results of having a hair transplant and his teeth fixed during lockdown.

And Jimmy Carr, 48, has admitted that he fears he’ll get cancelled when returning to stand up comedy, as he showed off his new look in the latest pre-recorded episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, which airs on Saturday.

The comedian, who looked preened to perfection with his new hairline and gleaming white smile, explained he believes he’ll possibly lose the support of fans because he’ll be ‘be giddy and over excited’ while performing on stage.

The TV star admitted he’s worried he’ll be cancelled as he makes his return to comedy because he’ll be ‘giddy and over excited’ after the latest national lockdown.

He told Jonathan: ‘Not being able to go out there and do what we normally do has been a challenge.

‘They’re talking about June 21st – I’ve got gigs booked in from June 21st… god willing, that would be a return to normality…

‘I think I’ll probably get cancelled, I’ll be a bit giddy and over excited. I’m a dab hand at it now.’

Jimmy also discussed joining BBC’s new series I Can See Your Voice, explaining: ‘It’s a crazy idea. It’s a singing show, a talent show… no one sings.

‘We get a line-up and we say who we think who might be able to sing, based on nothing.

‘It’s like working at the airport, you’re basically profiling people: “Those shoes with that dress? No, she can’t sing… she’s holding the mic wrong.” We’re just looking at people and saying who can sing.

‘Then the next round they’re miming. Every time – I’ve never been more certain and more wrong.’

Jimmy explained that, although I Can See Your Voice sounds bonkers on paper, it is highly enjoyable to watch.

He said: ‘The reason I think the show works, in every hour there’s six big moments. Because either they can sing and it’s entertaining, or they can’t and it is funny.

‘It was so fun. We filmed it in the second lockdown. Just to be out of the house. We were kind of thrown together – me, Alison Hammond and Amanda Holden – we had the best fun together.’

The Jonathan Ross Show airs on Saturday 10th April at  9.35pm on ITV and ITV Hub.

Last month, Jimmy revealed he has had his teeth fixed in a mammoth three day appointment at the dentist and has also undergone a hair transplant.

Talking on Gabby Logan’s Midpoint podcast, Jimmy said he decided to make some tweaks to his appearance after feeling disappointed that he doesn’t look as good in real life as he does on television.

He said: ‘I got my teeth done, that’s the first thing I had done, they’re more than veneers. I got every tooth in my head done in one sitting.

‘I did 12 hours in the chair the first day, then 12 hours the second, it was like a three day thing where you’ve got temporary things on, it’s pretty full on.’

Of his hair transplant, the comedian explained: ‘I wasn’t receding. I’ve had the same hairline since I was 17, I had a big widow’s peak. I looked like a vampire’s accountant. It was just post lockdown I got it done.’

The TV personality said as well as these physical changes, he’s also been exercising lots and taking lots of protein pills and vitamins.
