They’re back! How stars are bringing back Crocs

It seems that the once divisive pair of Crocs are well and truly back in fashion. 

In recent months, a host of Australian influencers and celebrities have been seen wearing the quirky designs. 

From the likes of former Married At First Sight star Martha Kalifatidis, to Roxy Jacenko, Brooke Boney, Pip Edwards and even Ruby Rose, Daily Mail Australia takes a look at how the humble shoes are coming back.

No doubt, the popularity of the brand has increased thanks to a number of collaborations the brand has had with megastars, including Justin Bieber, Ruby Rose, and Post Malone.  

Martha Kalifatidis, 32, who boasts 593,000 Instagram followers, recently shared her own custom-made design on social media.  

In the videos, the Married At First Sight star explained the meaning behind the custom adornments, with one of the shoes representing her, and the other her boyfriend, Michael Brunelli.

‘I did an MB for Michael Brunelli and an MK, and I have the lock and the key,’ she said, with the lock on Michael’s side and the key on hers.

‘I really like the cactus, because Michael can be a pr**k sometimes,’ she then said, pointing to the green charm. 

‘I also gave him some chill pills because he needs to chill,’ Martha explained, before pointing out a camera charm.

‘Obviously a camera for me, because I take selfies, and an alien, because you know, I’m out of this world,’ she continued.

‘And a gummy bear, because they’re my favourite lollies in the world,’ she went on, adding, ‘Anyway I am obsessed with them!’ 

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s Drew House collaboration with Crocs recently sold old. 

Although, PR queen Roxy Jacenko was one lucky star to get her hands on them.

In October last year, she posed up in her walk-in wardrobe in her $6.5million Vaucluse home showing off her new yellow Crocs from Justin’s range.

‘My friends think I’ve lost it,’ Roxy captioned the post at the time. 

She added: ‘They are just jealous I am positive (cue the personal shoppers to beg them to find a pair).’

The shoes retail for around $100 on average and if you buy directly from Crocs, consumers are gifted a pair of free Drew House socks.

P.E Nation designer Pip Edwards also showcased her purple Drew House Crocs on Instagram on Wednesday. 

The 41-year-old’s shoe featured a number of cartoon characters planted on the front, including Looney Tunes favourite Bugs Bunny.

‘Yep, I’m doing it,’ she said of the ‘comfy’ footwear, which has often been mocked in the past due to its quirky design.

Australian actress Ruby Rose also designed her own collection for the brand, called ‘Just Love.’

One pair of shoes, released in June last year, was a rainbow design to celebrate Pride Month.  

Ruby revealed that Crocs donated to GLAAD, an organisation that supports LGBT people.  

‘I’ve been incredibly excited these past few months to design another shoe with @Crocs!’ Ruby said at the time.
