Bryan Cranston offloads custom built eco-friendly Ventura beach house for $5.45million

Bryan Cranston originally listed his family’s custom built eco-friendly beach house in Ventura, California for $4.995million in late February.

And it was reported Thursday that the 65-year-old actor’s one-of-a-kind abode has sold for $5,450,000, which is $455,000 more than the initial asking price, as per People.

The 2,450-square-foot home was specifically designed by Cranston to have a net-zero carbon footprint.

It boasts three bedrooms and four bathrooms, featuring an open format great room with a modern kitchen, fireplace and reading nook.

There’s some generous patio space for entertaining guests and enjoying the panoramic ocean views, just steps away from the water.

Cranston is also offering the option to include his custom furniture and personal art collection with the sale of the house.

He said: ‘I hope a family buys it so that their kids and grandkids all come to visit, and they can jump in the ocean and learn how to swim or surf and go for walks on the beach – look at the dolphins that come by almost every morning and afternoon.

The Malcolm in the Middle actor opened up to People in December about being able to spend some time at home with his family during the pandemic.

He said: ‘I work a lot and mostly that requires me to be out of my home state. There is a significant part of loneliness. And I’m happiest with my family.’

Cranston was filming his new Showtime series Your Honor in New Orleans when lockdown happened, and he later recovered from his own diagnosis with COVID-19.
