Married At First Sight’s Rebecca Zemek chooses to STAY with Jake Edwards during their final vows

‘I’m all in’: Married At First Sight’s Rebecca Zemek chooses to STAY with Jake Edwards during their final vows – as he declares he’s ‘in love’ despite her being ‘cold and rude’ throughout the experiment

Their Married At First Sight journey has been anything but a romantic fairytale.

So it was quite the shock when Rebecca Zemek said she was ‘all in’ with Jake Edwards during their final vows, after weeks of showing minimal interest towards their romance.

During her rollercoaster of a speech, Beck claimed she felt ‘objectified’ by Jake on their wedding day, before adding that a ‘surface-level relationship’ was ‘my worst nightmare.’

‘I’d never been in a relationship where I’ve had to question so much than I have in ours,’ she said, hinting she was about to dump Jake.

‘Our relationship is nothing short of a rollercoaster, one I thought about getting off a few times.’

But after a string of negative comments, Rebecca, 27, admitted something changed between them midway through the experiment – and felt they connected more than ever before.

‘You have such a calm and steady demeanor, and you’re in tune with your feelings. And although you try to be modest, you underestimate yourself,’ she said.

All smiles: 'You have such a calm and steady demeanor, and you're in tune with your feelings. And although you try to be modest, you underestimate yourself,' she said about Jake

‘I realise it’s to actually embrace what is right in my heart. I will always wonder what this could have been.

‘So, although I don’t know what the future holds, I know that I’m not ready to walk away from this without giving it my all.

‘You always say, “If you’re in, I’m in.” So, here I am, letting you know I’m in. 100%, I’m in.’

Moments prior, Jake, 33, gave an emotional speech where he revealed he was  falling in love with Beck.

‘You seemed too good to be true,’ he began. ‘And it wasn’t too long into the honeymoon that I realised that this may unfortunately be the case.’

He then said Rebecca had made some ‘rude, condescending and cold’ comments towards him throughout the experiment, which made him feel ‘unwanted’.

‘But the crazy thing is, during this time, I still had such an attraction to you that was forcing me to stay committed to the experiment, and to try and make things work,’ he added.

‘And right when I thought I had lost you was when I realised just how much I needed you in my life. You’re exactly the person I’d asked for.’

He said that being with Beck is a ‘risk worth taking’, adding: ‘Everything from anger and frustration… To happiness and love. That’s right.

‘There’s even a part of me that is in love with you, Beck.’
