Steven Gerrard named in the Premier League’s Hall of Fame

Steven Gerrard inducted as the seventh member in the Premier League’s Hall of Fame as the Liverpool legend is rewarded for more than 500 games and 120 goals

  • Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp were the first six retired professionals to be inducted  

Steven Gerrard has become the seventh player inducted into the Premier League‘s Hall of Fame.

Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry were the inaugural members of the newly established Hall of Fame, with Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp being added earlier this week.

The Liverpool icon is the fifth of six players from a 23-man shortlist to receive the most combined votes from a Premier League panel and fans to be inducted into Hall of Fame this week. The final player voted in will be revealed later on Thursday.

Each inductee receives a personalised medallion, engraved with the year of their induction.
