Portugal are through to the Euro Under-21 final after Jorge Cuenca’s own goal was enough to see off Spain.

Portugal are aiming to win the competition for the first time after losing both the 1994 and 2015 finals.

The Germans beat Holland 2-1 in the other semi final, Florian Wirst scored twice in the opening two minutes to put Germany in complete control.

Perr Schuurs pulled one back for the Dutch in the 67th minute to spark hopes of a comeback.

But Germany really should’ve won the game more comfortably after Mergim Berisha hit the woodwork three times.

Germany will be aiming to win this competition for a third time after winning the tournament in 2009 and 2017.
