A mum-of-three has revealed how she was left in tears by a kind stranger who left a  note on her car when she was having a rough day.

The busy mum had been struggling with her unhappy newborn and getting her six-year-old daughter to school when she saw the note tucked under the door handle.

At first her stomach dropped.

‘If you were to see a note on your car on returning from a shop you would automatically assume the worst, wouldn’t you?’ she wrote in a Facebook post.

But instead of a nasty note, she found kind words from a stranger named ‘Sarah’.

‘You have beautiful children! Thanks for making me smile from my car. From one mum to another, you are doing a fab job,’ the note read.

The mum was floored by the sweet words.

‘I instantly started tearing up, but held the happy tears back so my beautiful children didn’t see,’ she said.

She said he six-week-old son has been showing signs of being allergic or intolerant to something, which has made him upset.

‘My baby boy cried all the way in the car and I was distressed hearing his bad cry,’ she said.

She said the fact she couldn’t be in the back seat with her baby and three-year-old son, because she was driving, made her more upset.

‘From one stranger to another thankyou so much for this amazing message to me this morning,’ she said.

‘You never know how someone might be feeling and this definitely made me feel better at that moment in time.’

The woman’s post quickly went viral with hundreds of mothers also thanking ‘Sarah’ for writing the kind note.

One mum said an elderly woman sent her carer over with blueberries and ice cream for her children because she had been stuck in bed for a while and seeing the children had put a smile on her face.

‘Now my children wave at her every day,’ the mum added.

Others said people like ‘Sarah’ make them believe in humans again.

‘What a lovely thing to do,’ one mum said.

‘A little bit of kindness goes a long way.’

Another said: ‘So beautiful, made me feel so emotional. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world and sometimes such a thoughtful pick-me-up is exactly what’s needed in the moment.’

Another mum said she hopes the kindness is catching because ‘building each other up is so much better than tearing each other down’.
