Louisa also spoke out about her decision to cancel her wedding to fiancé Ben, citing the pandemic and her pregnancy as a factor.

‘I’ve always wanted to get married first before having children for tradition, but sometimes things are taken out of your hands.’

Speaking to OK! Magazine in May, Louisa told how the pair had already been forced to cancel the ceremony twice thanks to the pandemic so now they are waiting until they are ‘ready’.

She said: ‘We’ve cancelled the wedding altogether now. We’ve decided to scrap the whole thing and start again with our plans.

‘We’re going to have the baby and focus on that and then get married once we’re ready.

Louisa was grateful that her fiancé was able to join her at both her 12 and 20 week scans and said she is praying that both Ben and her mother will be allowed in the delivery room with her when the baby is born.

The soap star previously told how she discovered she was pregnant the day after she had been out drinking tequila shots.

The actress was playing a Christmas Day game with family where people who lost had to have a shot.

Louisa said she was ‘violently sick’ that night which she doesn’t normally get after drinking alcohol and took a pregnancy test on Boxing Day.

Louisa revealed her co-stars Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater and James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler, were the first people on the EastEnders set she told she was set to become a mother.

Lacey is a mother-of-two and has already given Louisa some advice on becoming a mum with the actress saying Lacey has ‘really helped me’.
