Also sharing the aftermath of his drinking on Wednesday, Rob looked rather worse for wear as he explained that his planned kitchen meeting wasn’t great.

Later he returned to Instagram Stories to reveal that he’d ‘just cried’ in the car and would be ordering a pizza to try and tame the raging hangover.

But amazingly, Rob managed to keep his guest appearance on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 Breakfast Show at 7.45am before taking his children to a swimming lesson.

‘I’m empty. I’ve got nothing else to give,’ Beckett told a sympathetic and amused Zoe on the radio on Wednesday.

Rob said: ‘I’ve lost my voice. I don’t know where my wallet is. I bought semi-final and final tickets last night… the final’s on my mum’s birthday and I’m hosting a BBQ, so that’s got to be sorted out.

‘It was so great. That’s the best atmosphere of any sporting event I’ve ever been to.’
