England stars showed their support for Christian Eriksen before their Euro 2020 semi-final clash against Denmark – presenting a Three Lions shirt their opponents before kick-off as the midfielder continues his recovery from a cardiac arrest.
The world of sport was stunned last month when Eriksen collapsed to the turf during his team’s opening game of the tournament against Finland and leading to distressing scenes – although medics were able to revive him on the pitch.
Denmark have been buoyed by support from around the world towards the player and the team at the tournament, helping them reach the last four, and the Three Lions were keen to make their own tribute at Wembley before playing them.
England captain Harry Kane handed his Denmark counterpart Simon Kjaer a signed Three Lions jersey with Eriksen and the shirt number 10 on the back in a touching show of respect.
