The French side have bolstered their goalkeeping department this summer by landing Italy’s No.1 Gianluigi Donnarumma on a free and are prepared to move Areola on again.

That has alerted West Ham, who are interested in signing Areola on loan with a view to a permanent move and keen to add another senior goalkeeper to their squad alongside Lukasz Fabianski, Darren Randolph and David Martin.

Meanwhile Felipe Anderson is set to complete his return to Lazio this weekend after three years at West Ham.
