One lucky pensioner has won big in the Lotto after finding a hidden treasure in a tin of smoked oysters.

The retiree from Newcastle in New South Wales won the entire division one prize of $132,237.15 drawn on Saturday July 24.

The pensioner, who  was unaware of her life-changing win until she was contacted by The Lott, said she would spend the jackpot win on her kids and family. 

She said she had been blessed with ‘good luck’ ever since finding a pearl hidden in a tin of smoked oysters.

‘There’s been lots of lucky little moments like finding a carpark easily and now this,’ she said. 

The Newcastle pensioner was eating a tin of smoked oysters when she found a pearl hiding which she believes has brought her luck ever since

‘I was eating a tin of smoked oysters the other day and I found a pearl in the tin. I’ve had the best luck ever since’, she said.  

‘It’s a complete surprise! I marked my entry with special numbers like my children’s birthdays and they are even more special now.’ 

With her fortune ready to hit her bank account, the lucky pensioner said it will help relieve pressure in a massive way. 

‘I’m a pensioner so this will certainly come in handy. It will just make life a lot easier.’ 

The tally of The Lott’s division one winners has now reached 243 for this calendar year with 63 of the winners NSW Lotteries customers.
