‘We certainly made a lot of mistakes before, which we are not about to make this time around,’ Ronnie agreed.

The pair say they have learned a lot since last appearing on the show and are putting that knowledge to good use.

‘We certainly have matured in the way we look at houses. The difference is we’re going to renovate the house to the Melbourne market, whereas before it was all about what we like,’ Ronnie said.

The married pair, who are known for being outspoken, starred on season 13, where they placed fourth.

They took home $161,000 from the sale of their renovated home in the Melbourne suburb of Elsternwick.

Filming for the 2021 season of The Block is well under way in Melbourne.

As the Nine renovation show prepares to hit screens later this year, a handful of industry professionals have been allowed to view the near-completed properties – and they predict the homes have the potential to break price records.

According to realestate.com.au, there are three reasons why the experts believe this year’s houses will fetch higher prices than in previous years.

Firstly, they are located in a quiet cul-de-sac, meaning the buyers will most likely be families; secondly, there is more land on offer for each property; and thirdly, all of the homes have a ‘pretty cool feature’ that has never been seen on The Block before.
