Newcastle become the latest club to ‘join the chase for Aaron Ramsey’ as Magpies ‘register interest in the Juventus star’ as Wolves and Tottenham continue to monitor situation with former Arsenal man
- Aaron Ramsey has endured a tough two-year spell at Juventus and is in demand
- Newcastle need a quality midfielder after Joe Willock returned to Arsenal
- Wolves and Tottenham are also interested in bringing Ramsey back to England
- Ex-Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici recently joined the north Londoners
- However, the returning Massimiliano Allegri has been impressed by Ramsey
- Allegri also refused to comment on a possible reunion with Miralem Pjanic
Newcastle have reportedly become the latest English club to express an interest in Aaron Ramsey, making an approach to Juventus about a possible transfer.
The 30-year-old has been long been linked with a move away from Italy after a two-year spell in Turin beset by injury problems, with the Old Lady becoming frustrated with the Wales star and keen to offload him given his astronomical £400,000-a-week weeks, with former Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici keen on bringing the former Arsenal man to arch-rivals Tottenham.
Wolves are also said to be keen on signing Ramsey, although that feeling is not thought to be reciprocated by the midfielder, with the Magpies now linked with him, according to Goal, although talks are at a very informal stage.

Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri has been impressed by Ramsey during pre-season and was asked on Saturday after the 2-1 Berlusconi Cup triumph over Monza about the player’s future at the club as well as the possible return of former charge Miralem Pjanic, who left just last summer to join Barcelona and has been mentioned as part of a possible swap deal with Ramsey.
‘I don’t know about that (the return of Pjanic),’ the Italian told Sport Mediaset. ‘The club takes care of the transfer window. We talk every day.
‘Ramsey played very, very well in front of the defence and I think in that role he can really become an important player.
“I salute Mire (Pjanic), because we spent four years together with great victories. He is a Barcelona player now, we have talented players and I think if Ramsey can be convinced to play in front of the defence, he can really do well there.’

Ramsey still has two years left on his current deal with the Bianconeri and Juve do not need to sell as they look to regain supremacy in Serie A after missing out on their 10th league title last season and only just scraping into the Champions League spots.
Newcastle have yet to bring in a single senior player this summer and are badly lacking creative at the heart of midfield, with the impressive Joe Willock returning to Arsenal after his productive loan spell on Tyneside.
