Woolworths has shared a lesser-known feature about supermarket trolleys that could save you time at the checkout.

Sydney employee Liam Kirley posted a TikTok video and revealed the smaller trolleys fit perfectly under staffed cash registers at the end of the checkout.

The handy feature may change the way customers shop as it’s ideal for those who want to skip the bagging process and pop the buys straight back into the trolley.

Woolworths employee Liam Kirley, from Sydney, has revealed a little-known feature about supermarket trolleys. In a now-viral TikTok video, he said the smaller trolleys fit under staffed registers at the end of the checkout

‘If you want to skip bagging and you have a smaller trolley, these trolleys sit into our registers just like that – so you can easily place items into the trolley,’ Liam said in the clip.

But the special trolley feature is only suitable for staffed cash registers rather than self-serve checkouts.

The now-viral video has been watched more than 28,000 times and shocked TikTok users.

Liam added how if you have multiple products of the same type, only one needs to be scanned.

‘If you have more of one of the same product, you can put one of those up on the conveyor belt and leave the rest in the trolley,’ he said.

‘And just tell our team member how many you have and we’ll put it in the register.’

Earlier this month Liam shared another video showing a simple way to find products quickly at Woolworths.

He said at the end of each aisle lies a store directory outlining where to find each product.

The hundreds of products listed on the store guide have been placed into alphabetic categories to make it quick and easy for customers to find what they’re looking for.

Earlier this year Liam shared a video showing a simple way to find products quickly at Woolworths has wowed thousands of shoppers who never knew ‘supermarket guides’ existed

‘Here’s a shopping hack to find groceries at Woolworths. At the end of each aisle there are these store directories which tell you where a product family is,’ Liam said in the video and shared a close-up of the directory.

‘If you’re looking for honey, it says that it’s in aisle three. So then go to aisle three, and there’s our honey!’

The handy insight would be perfect when you’re in a rush or buying from a different Woolworths store you’re unfamiliar with.
