President Joe Biden will speak with China‘s President Xi Jinping Thursday morning at 8:30 – making it the fifth time the two leaders will connect amid simmering tensions.

The White House will provide a readout of the call afterwards.

Call comes amid reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will visit Taiwan and as U.S. military leaders warn of the emerging threat from China.
