DP MP, Ervin Salianji, accuses the government of using two standards for the measures taken in cases of illegal constructions. From Skënderbej Square, Salinji said that the government and institutions do not look at the towers that are being erected in the center of Tirana, but prosecute and punish citizens who open even a window in their homes.
“Order, take a look, in front of the most important institutions, here is the headquarters of the SP where the prime minister and ministers pass. All the leaders of the State Police pass here, as well as the Municipality. Order, this permit approved by Edi Rama from KKT 26 floors. Now, each of you together, if you want, can see that this building has reached almost 40 floors. So, impossible citizens, women, elderly people end up in prison no matter what kind of construction they do if they open a window or make a courtyard or any other kind of construction”. said Salianji.
Showing the TOWER that, according to him, has problems with the law, Salinji said that the builders should have been fined millions of Euros and not protected by the government.
“Constructions like this should have been fined in billions of Lek or millions of Euros as stipulated in the law. On the other hand, other constructions like this and the builder or owner of this construction here should have faced criminal responsibility and had to face prison.” Salianji added.
The democratic deputy warned that he would denounce other cases of constructions without permission.
