From Bulqiza, the Deputy Prime Minister and at the same time the Minister for Energy and Infrastructure Belinda Balluku has reacted regarding the decision of ERE to increase the price of electricity for consumers who consume more than 800 kWh.
Balluku said that the price of energy has not increased as he added that the decision to increase the price of energy belongs to the government.

In the month of October, we are waiting for all the data in terms of consumption. Albanians spent 5% less energy. In the first week of November we expect to have rain for the Cascade of Drini, which will mean that the government will not apply the 800 kWh band even in the month of November. Energy has not changed, it is 9.5 ALL. No one has felt the energy crisis because the government has protected consumers.
The 800 kWh band only concerns those consumers who have high consumption. Above 800 kWh are those families who want to have a swimming pool, a “chiller” and not an ordinary air conditioner. The government does not protect luxury consumption. ERE has issued a price if the ban will be imposed during the month of November, if the ban will be imposed we will analyze it based on general consumption, based on all markets and import market prices that are affected by the geopolitical situation./broread
