Harry Kane celebrates Tottenham’s Champions League win in Marseille with dressing room dance

Grooving into the last-16! Harry Kane celebrates Tottenham’s dramatic Champions League win with dressing room dance… before hitting back at Marseille fans with a picture captioned ‘full-time fireworks’

Tottenham players were in plenty of mood to celebrate after waltzing into the last-16 of the Champions League following an excellent win in Marseille.

Spurs were on the back foot at the Velodrome in the south of France at half-time following a dismal showing that left them 1-0 down following a stoppage time header from Chancel Mbemba.

But an inspired second-half performance saw Spurs come from behind to win, with Clement Lenglet equalising with a header after the break to put them back on course for the last-16, before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sealed victory with the last kick of the game to send the north London side through as group winners.

Tottenham players celebrated on the pitch in front of Spurs fans after the game before taking the jubilant scenes into the dressing room shortly after.

With the backdrop of loud music blaring in the away changing room, even talisman Harry Kane couldn’t help but shuffle along to the beat.

Clapping his hands with a huge smile, the striker was encouraged by team-mate Emerson Royal to keep dancing, with the defender heard shouting ‘Come on, Harry!’

Emerson filmed the celebrations of Spurs’ progression from inside the changing room, also encouraging Yves Bissouma to dance as well catching a fired up Lucas Moura who bellowed a rallying cry into the camera.

Spurs players then gathered into a group photo, one that Kane put on his Twitter account and captioned ‘full-time fireworks’.

Kane’s caption appeared to be aimed at Marseille fans who had produced a pyro display on the eve of the game outside the Spurs players’ hotel to try and disrupt their sleep, while also letting off many fireworks before and during the match.

Among the players featuring in the group celebration pic uploaded was Son Heung-min, who had to depart in the first period having a taken a knock to the face.

Tottenham supporters will be encouraged to see the Korean star fit enough to celebrate with his team-mates, but may be concerned at the seemingly slightly swollen left eye that led to him having to be replaced.

A notable absentee from the photo was manager Antonio Conte who, while serving a  touchline ban following his sending off in the previous Champions League match with Sporting Lisbon is also under UEFA rules not allowed in the changing room.

Conte’s assistant manger Cristian Stellini instead took charge, and admitted that the Italian was left restless having to watch the tense encounter from high up in the stands.

‘I spoke to Antonio. He was very tired. For him to be in the crowd is not usual.’

Spurs will now look ahead to Monday’s draw for the last-16 where in finishing top of the group they will be boosted in being able to avoid a number of Europe’s big hitters including Bayern Munich and possibly Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
