The Prime Minister at the “TRT World forum”: Turkey is the key to stability in Europe

Global security is at risk from Russia, said Prime Minister Rama, during the speech at the summit of the International Forum of TRT, which is being held in Istanbul. The head of the Albanian government spoke about a European platform to deal with the consequences of the war.

“I am sharing with you my conviction that the war in Ukraine is not only related to Ukraine, but is an aggression against the entire Euro-Atlantic community. Energy crisis, inflation are the weapons with which Russian aggression is attacking democratic countries. Unlike the rest of Europe, in the Western Balkans, there are countries where over 70% of the population thinks that Russia is not an aggression and that Putin is not guilty, but a leader who can be trusted for the security of our continent”. said Rama.

For maintaining stability in the region, Prime Minister Rama has the highest praise for Angela Merkel and Erdogan.

“Without Merkel, the honor of Europe would not be safe. It was she who opened the door for immigrants to Germany in the great Syrian crisis. But, without Erdogan, the walls of Europe would not stand. Turkey is the key to stability in Europe. If you imagine at one point, that in a terrible way Europe failed and was protected precisely by Turkey”, said Rama.

‘TRT World Forum’ is a platform known for the quality of debates on global and regional agendas, which gathers policy makers and high decision makers every year in Istanbul.
