The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, said in a statement to the media that the debate motion requested by the opposition requires a dedicated plenary session that could last about 24 hours.

Balla said that on March 2, the Prime Minister will be present and all MPs are welcome in the Assembly for the debate regarding the “McGonigal” case.

“First of all, the request for the development of the motion with debate has required a full day where all the issues that can have a plenary session and be a dedicated session, 1400 minutes, less than 24 hours, will be removed. The Assembly is not a fast-food but an institution that naturally needs to be prepared, the request also had the presence of the Prime Minister as a condition, confirmation was received due to the Prime Minister’s international agenda and the date was set for March 2.

I think it would be the best date and in fact it was voted on in the Assembly because article 89 says that if there is no agreement then the proposal is voted on by the President of the Assembly, there is no alibi for normality, we welcome all MPs to be present in that debate. Although there is no doubt that the motion is not the reason for this situation, it is the opposition’s ink tar which leaves no room for conjecture, it has to do with the internal problems of the opposition”. said Balla.

The head of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party stated, among other things, that the issue of the request for an investigative commission from the opposition for Prime Minister Rama is still in the Conference of Presidents.

“The question that is asked is will the rules be respected in the Assembly of Albania? Today, all the demands of the opposition have been accepted. The issue of the request for a commission of inquiry is still in the Conference of Presidents. I had communication with you and we communicate with you in order to communicate with those who we do not find, who are the opposition. Only Mr. Alibeaj participated in that session of the conference of presidents, and in fact he was not even a signatory of that request. We are faced with the fact that, to be honest, we never give journalism lectures, because you are an independent power, but I would like to have a public question for Mr. Belind Kelliçi. He is a member of the Assembly. Did he himself sign the request for an investigative commission? Because it is an official document. If he signed it himself, I have a question for Mr. Belind Kelliçi, do you know how to write your name”, said Balla./broread
