Prime Minister Edi Rama met this Friday with the British Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly. The latter has published on Instagram a joint photo from the meeting between them.
“Above everything else, cooperation is essential. The United Kingdom and Albania are working together to promote the security and prosperity of our peoples.” Cleverly writes.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Edi Rama was received in London by his British counterpart Rishi Sunak, in the first official visit of an Albanian prime minister to the United Kingdom. The conversation between them focused on issues of immigration, security, organized crime and the economy.
In a joint statement after the meeting, Prime Ministers Rama and Sunak revealed the issues on which they have agreed.
Between the governments, the exchange of data on curbing illegal immigration will continue, and a joint task force will make an assessment of Albanian prisons./broread
