Gordon Ramsay jumps on the Collingwood bandwagon after team’s thrilling AFL grand final win

Gordon Ramsay has sent a message of congratulations to Collingwood after the Magpies’ AFL grand final victory on Saturday.

Celebrity chef Ramsay, 56, paid the Pies a visit earlier this year after hitting Melbourne for some filming, and was watching on from afar as Craig McRae’s side defeated Brisbane at the MCG.

The Hell’s Kitchen star took to Twitter, now known as X, to congratulate the footy club after ending their 13-year wait for the flag.

‘Well done!! Happy to have cheered you guys on earlier this year!’ he posted.

Back in May, the Scottish native could not wipe the smile off his face as he posed up a storm with the team and received a signed Magpies jersey.

The Collingwood FC’s Instagram page shared a gallery of snaps capturing Ramsay laughing it up with the team and captioned it with some hilarious words.

‘Presenting the newest member of the Magpie Army – Gordon Ramsay. He was filming at the Club today,’ they wrote.

It didn’t take long for their followers to go wild over seeing the esteemed chef meeting the Magpie athletes.

‘The best duo ever, Pies and Gordon. Oh my goodness,’ gushed Brooke Warne and another fan joked: ‘A good chef knows Pies are always hot’.

The renowned chef surprised patrons at various restaurants around Melbourne, leaving fans in awe of his unexpected presence ahead of his new show’s premiere.
