Sacked Studio 10 newsreader Natarsha Belling announces her new role three months after losing her job in brutal budget cuts

Channel 10 sacked at least 25 stars, including veteran journalist Natarsha Belling, in a brutal round of budget cuts in August.

And three months on, Natarsha has revealed her exciting new role.

The 45-year-old news anchor is leaving her TV career behind, and is diving into the exciting world of podcasting.

‘So excited to finally share this amazing news’: Sacked Channel 10 news anchor Natarsha Belling has revealed her new project – a breaking news podcast with Southern Cross Austereo

Natarsha spent more than two decades with Network 10, before being axed alongside weatherman Tim Bailey and conservative pundit Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

‘So excited to finally share this amazing news. This is the wonderful new project I’ve been working on with the incredibly talented team from Southern Cross Austereo,’ Natarsha tweeted on Monday.

‘Each morning we will cover all the breaking news from across Australia and around the world, with a key focus on business and finance. It’s your news on the go – that’s convenient, informative and engaging,’ she explained.

Natarsha’s new show, Your Morning Agenda, will explore the biggest news events, with up-to-date information and expert analysis on the issues that matter. 

‘From next Monday 23/11 we are live and ready to go on or wherever you get your podcasts. Your Morning Agenda is all you need to know to start your day!’ she said.

In August, Natarsha made a respectable exit from Channel 10, showing no bitterness while thanking the network for supporting her career since her early twenties.

‘It’s been an absolute pleasure being part of the Network 10 family for more than 22 years and I want to thank the network for all the wonderful opportunities I’ve enjoyed over the past two decades,’ she said.

‘During that time, I’ve worked with some of the very best in the TV business who have inspired me with their skill, passion and dedication.’
